This superb rare automatic MGC was built between the 24th of June and the 2nd of July 1968. It was sold by University Motors of London on the 10th of July 1968. It was originally British racing green but had the color changed to Vermilion around 20 years ago. It has had extensive renovation ,The offside inner and outer sills Castle section ,floor section drivers foot well tunnel all having been replaced by us. All panels and the nearside sills etc were replaced around 10 years ago. We have MOTs and paperwork for over 15 years proving it has only covered around 100 miles per year since then. When the previous owner purchased it , he decided the engine would benefit from an overhaul. He then stumbled on a brand new one still in its packing case ,so purchased it. Whilst the engine was out he had a total overhaul done on the gearbox. The new engine is not yet run in having covered around 400 miles . The webasto sunroof was a tad tired so the car was sent to a custom trimmers for a new one (just under £2000) . This car drives superbly , the three speed borg warner gear box is silky smooth in its changes. It has a wealth of history over the last 20 years. An appreciating affordable usable classic not to be missed. It is rare for one like this to come along.
